DEF LEPPARD Guitarist VIVIAN CAMPBELL To Record Solo Album
April 1, 2005DEF LEPPARD guitarist Vivian Campbell wil enter the studio April 11-13 to begin work on his first solo album. The record, which will reportedly contain about a dozen cover songs from blues legends such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Rory Gallagher and others, will be released "sometime in 2005" on Sanctuary Records. Recording live, Vivian will be joined by Terry Bozzio on drums, Mark Browne on bass, Michael Fell on "mississippi saxophone" and Tor Hyams on keyboards. Extra guest appearances are said to be "optional." More information will be available soon on VivianCampbell.com.
DEF LEPPARD will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Wednesday, May 25. As previously reported, DEF LEPPARD will be teaming up with BRYAN ADAMS for a 26-date co-headlining tour of minor league ballparks beginning in June. LEPPARD's two-disc set "Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection" (Mercury/UME) will be released May 17.
